WIll open Dominican Ocean World Marina and Casino with The Beach Boys

COFRESI, Puerto Plata.- With a concert by the legendary U.S. rock group The Beach Boys, Ocean World Marina and Casino will be inaugurated next Saturday.

The complex’s new facilities, located to the west of Cofresi, as well as the dolphin pool here, are owned by German-US investor Ludwig Alfred Meister.

Ocean World officials hope to attract a large number of tourists that, on board thousands of boats, annually visit the Caribbean zone, expecting to strengthen the Puerto Plata tourism pole and the northern region of the Dominican Republic.

The program begins with guest registration, followed by an opening ceremony at 6:15 p.m. Ensuing, the concert by the legendary U.S. musical group, The Beach Boys will take place, and the ‘Las Vegas style’ dance group Bravisimo Show will stage a presentation.

Ocean World Public Relations director Madeline Camps, informed that more than 3 thousand spectators are expected to attend this Saturday, December 16th to the Marina and Casino inauguration.

The Marina can dock 104 boats in the water and 216 on land, and is equipped with a maintenance shop, and varied shops, a supermarket, and laundry services, in addition to a restaurant and gas station.

The casino’s ground floor is occupied by the Poseidon restaurant, and the second floor holds the casino itself; the third floor is dedicated to stage shows and the fourth level presents the Lighthouse Lounge piano bar, with a beautiviful view to the sea and the city of Puerto Plata.
