World's Largest Online Celebrity Poker Tournament Offers Over $40,000 in Prizes

HOLLYWOOD, Calif., May 20, 2005 -- Some of Hollywood's biggest stars are expected to go all in for Hollywood Poker's World Series of Poker (WSOP) Celebrity Shootout Tournament. Considered the world's largest online celebrity poker tournament, the event is accessible for the public to play with their favorite stars or watch as spectators. A full house of celebrities will join James Woods and Vince Van Patten in the online tournament June 18, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. PDT awarding a guaranteed prize pool of at least $10,000 and two World Series of Poker packages valued at over $15,000 each.

In addition to the $10,000 guaranteed prize pool, all participating celebrities will have $100 bounties placed on them for anyone who knocks them out of the tournament. Qualifying rounds for the tournament begin on May 1, 2005. The World Series of Poker Package includes the $10,000 tournament buy- in, 7-night hotel accommodations and airfare. A seat will be awarded to both the tournament winner as well as the last celebrity standing. The tournament can be entered with a $20+2 buy-in or by cashing in 1,000 Hollywood Poker poker points earned during the qualifying period. This will also serve as a HollywoodPoker.com poker point redemption tournament.
